By train or bus
Take the Rokko Liner from either JR Sumiyoshi Station or Hanshin Uozaki Station. Get off at "Island Kitaguchi" Station. A shuttle bus (ferry bus) for the Rokko Island Ferry Terminal departs from this station.
The Rokko Liner operates every 4 to 5 minutes (every 10 minutes after 9pm). "Island Kitaguchi" station is 6 minutes from JR Sumiyoshi Station and 4 minutes from Hanshin Uozaki Station.
A convenient direct ferry shuttle bus is available from either JR Sumiyoshi Station or Hanshin Mikage Station; this bus will take you to the ferry terminal.
By car
From Osaka
When travelling on the Hanshin Expressway from Osaka, exit at the Hanshin Expressway Kobe Line, Uozaki Ramp, and turn left at the third signal (the Hakutsuru Sake bulletin board).
When using the Hanshin Expressway Wangan Line, exit at the final Rokko Island North I.C., turn left at the first signal, and go straight for 300 meters. Turn at the next signal, and continue for 300 meters.
From Sannomiya
When using the Hanshin Expressway Kobe Line from Sannomiya, exit at the Maya Ramp. Take Route 43 to the east, and turn right at the fourth signal. Follow the signs to Rokko Island.

When using the Hanshin Expressway Kobe Line from Sannomiya, exit at the Maya Ramp. Take Route 43 to the east, and turn right at the fourth signal. Follow the sings to Rokko Island.
From Airport
From Kansai International Airport
Take the limousine bus [KB1] Rokko Island and get off at "Rokko Island".

From there, move to the Rokko Liner Island Kitaguchi Sta. bus stop (8 minutes on foot) and get on the shuttle bus.
From Itami Domestic Airport
Take the limousine bus [B1]Kobe(Sannomiya) and get off at "Kobe(Sannomiya) ".

Transfer to JR Kobe Line and get off at "Sumiyoshi" station.
Transfer to Rokko-Liner (For Marine Park) and get off at "Island Kitaguchi".
Then get on the shuttle bus.
From Kobe Airport
Take the Portliner (For Sannomiya) and get off at "Sannomiya".
Transfer to JR Kobe Line and get off at "Sumiyoshi" station.
Transfer to Rokko-Liner (For Marine Park) and get off at "Island Kitaguchi".
Then get on the shuttle bus.

- Approx. 15 minutes by bus (Oita Kotsu) from JR Oita Station. Get off at the "Oji Minato-machi" bus stop.
A bus to Oita Station is available only when disembarking from the Sunflower at Oita Port.
By car
The easiest approach is to take Route 10 from the Oita Expressway, Oita IC.

Take the express bus bound for Oita Station (via Beppu Kitahama) (Airport Express Airliner) and get off at "Oita Station".
