This year I boarded the ship earlier than last year, so I was
able to stay on board for a longer time, which was very
satisfying. What I was most looking forward to was going under
the three bridges in daytime while awake, rather than in the
middle of the night.

It was very beautiful and it reminded me of the daytime ferry
from Beppu to Osaka that I took 45 years ago.

The views of the beautiful islands and bridges of the Seto
Inland Sea were enchanting, and so was the sunset.

Seeing the sunset made me happy. I was relieved to see how much
nature is left in Japan.

It was wonderful to enjoy such unique culture and scenery, and
traveling by sea felt like crossing a mirror-like lake. I wish
foreigners could experience it too.

I really enjoyed the views. The sun set behind the clouds and
was reflected on the ocean. It was beautiful.

I liked that the pamphlet had detailed information about the
islands. I was also happy to be able to check the locations by
myself on the nautical chart.

Having done the Shikoku Pilgrimage two years ago, I was looking
at the scenery while reminiscing about Mt. Yashima and Zentsu-ji
temple.

I was reminded that the Seto Inland Sea is something we can be
proud of to the whole world.

I took this cruise because I wanted to see the beauty of the
islands praised by Westerners like Von Siebold and Von
Richthofen. The islands, each one different from the other, and
the evening light were beyond my expectations!

I was moved to see the sun set off the coast of Osaki Shimojima
from the Kurushima Strait! Also, when our ship overtook a cargo
ship at 22 knots, I thought it deserved the moniker "Express of
the Sea" (very fast!)

I hope they will have similar evens next time. The sea, the
islands and the bridges of the Seto Inland Sea were all very
satisfying. There were lots of special events on board, just as
good as those on cruise ships.

The ship did not rock at all, and while taking in the beautiful
scenery, I was even able to enjoy a Takarazuka Revue
performance, a violin concert and even take a bath…! What a
great day.
